Hello everyone this is my first official Reddit post, it is kinda of long so my apologies… I hope I can receive a more direct response and help here :) I’m a music artist/ songwriter, I’ve been writing for some years now. My Usual writing process is to use a reference instrumental that conveys more or less the song’s essence. I am finally working with a team that is invested in my career development. The issue is; the main working producer/engineer who is talented and extremely experienced, his issue is that they are more in tune with the older side of the industry, and what I’m I am trying to accomplish is a fusion of the old school instrumental process, but with the new school production elements in the songs (in terms of mixing styles, effects, modern pop song elements). BUT, although the ideas are in my head, due to my novice experience in the recording studio. I’m unable to properly translate my ideas in a way he understands. I’ve tried using other songs as examples but they tend to confuse him more. We’re still in the process of finding another person to help alongside him, but in the meantime I need to find a real way to fix my issue. I have begun studying some music theory but it will take some time. Also this isn’t factory in my ability to relay the creative application of what should happen in a song… For the life of me I can’t explain it conceptually, it’s frustrating, and i’m trying not to drive him crazy either. If anyone can give me suggestions, or some form of AI that can help audibly execute my ideas so I have something to show instead of explain. PLEASE and Thank you for your time :)
