Well, I've been learning piano for a while, but I think not that seriously, I took classes for a couple of years when I was younger, and then left them for several reasons, and I have tried to learn on my own since then, I feel that I could do it, but I'm kinda terrible at organizing my time so I haven't advanced much. Then recently I got into my school choir, so I would also like to start trying to learn singing on my own as well as in the group I would like to go to more formal classes but I don't think I can pay them and my parents don't care that much about me learning instruments Anyway, I’m trying to organize myself well and be able to have a well-defined routine to learn for so long, until I can afford go to classes
The thing is I really want to start learning a whole new instrument, but I don't know if it's a good idea and which would be the best choice.
I have been wanting to learn violin for a while, I'm not really as passionate about it as the piano, but I still really like it. But the difficulty and time that it takes to just become decent at it has discouraged me a little bit
Then I think it would be a good idea to learn ukulele, since is a cheaper and easier instrument than violin, is kinda like an introduction for guitar, and I feel it would be good for distract myself a little from the piano but it allows me to continue to focus on this and the singing because it is not such a demanding instrument
But then I think, if I really want to learn violin, it would be good to start as soon as possible and not wait any more years for the time it takes
Or maybe I should just focus on piano and singing, because I don’t know if trying to learn many instruments is going to affect my progress on these other instruments that are my main ones
So, any advice of what should I do?
