Would it be worth getting a better microphone for online lessons versus using the build in microphone on a laptop?
I know better microphones ARE better, of course, for recording but would they make enough of a difference over Zoom which is heavily compressing the audio?
I'm learning the flute, and my daughter is learning the clarinet.
As a side question, does anyone know how to get Zoom to not dynamically adjust volume? When my instructor attempts to play something so I can hear what it sounds like, the volume drops down to almost nothing and I can hardly hear her. It's like it thinks her flute is background noise and is trying to suppress it.
