So Long story short I purchased a Vox Continental Organ, and I know a pretty good amount of songs from the 60s, primarily the Doors with help from online tutorials and some light sheet music, but my main concern is how scarce tutorials are and how theres never sheet music for lots of the older 60s and 70s songs for Organ or Piano in that respect, I have attempted to learn many by ear but I appear to pretty tone deaf and struggle with this, after days of listening to Iron Butterfly Theme I managed to correctly transpose the first part of the song but after that I find it impossible to transcribe the rest. Are there easier ways or should I enlist the help of a Teacher? I am completely self taught for the past 3 years, and if I were to guess I have a single Year of experience if I was correctly taught.
What personally made me make this post was I actually looked at the Wiki for songs that use the Vox Organ and I came accross She's about a Mover by the Sir Douglas Quintet, and I cant find the organ chords ANYWHERE, worst part is the song seems really simple, but I cant really find notes anywhere for it.
I found services online that will for the most part correctly transcribe a song but I am looking at $100-300 dollars per song depending on length and complexity, I was quoted almost $100 per song for Iron Butterfly, the Doors, and other groups/songs from the 60's time period.
