Hey, I really wanted to pick up an instruments as my hobby. I always stick to athletic stuff but when im tired and hurt id like to stay active not just game all day lol. Anywho, ive always loved the sound of the violin. Recently i got one and ive been learning alone for last month. Tbh i understand why ppl say its hard without a teacher. I can see my improvements but have no idea where im messing up which usually leads me to youtube for hours. Issue is i have no teachers near me so its gotta be a self project. More recently however i discovered the beauty of fingerstyle guitar and i fell in love. So im curious how hard is it to learn fingerstyle guitar alone? Originally i avoided the guitar as an instrument because it was like super generic and just playing chords didnt really appeal to me. But with fingerstyle im seeing these guys just mesh up so many sounds i feel i can get more creative and not get bored. What do you guys think? Should i just stick to the violin? Or pick up a guitar? If you asked me whatd id love to play answer is for sure violin. Its judt the lack of instruction thats frustrating me. Especially with posture.
