Hello! Help a lost one. :( I wonder how does one determine a melody of a song? I have this favorite song called Sea by BTS and I want to be able to play it in a music box. I'm actually willing to pay for someone to do it for me, but I figured that I want first to try to learn it before I give up. I want to give it a try so that I can do it for other songs too.
Here's the Piano version of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X04Q1rfZfCE And a music box version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yll4tI4bc_A
I could easily just convert these into midi online and then import in musicboxmaniacs.com. However, these results to much more complex notes, while I only have a 15 note music box, which only has 2 octaves from c4 to c6 without sharps or flats.
I know nothing about music theory, that's why I'm here. I researched everything about D.I.Y Music Box, and spent the whole afternoon and night trying to experiment in musicboxmaniacs.com and miserably failing.
I just need the melody of the song to fit my music box. I figured that maybe, if I have the basic notes or the melody, and then transpose it to a C major or an A minor (which accdg to what I searched has no sharps or flats), I can make it? (there's already a site for mapping the notes out) I also don't know how it will fit in the 2 octaves.
so yeah, I'm not really sure if my solution was right, but I'm willing to give it a shot to see if it works. But if you have a brighter and easier solution to my problem, please feel free to enlighten me.
I know nothing about music so please be kind to me ;'( But I'm really willing to learn and try everything before I give up. It would be lovely if you could help me. I will thank you for the rest of life <3
