I produce music in my bedroom with an inexpensive setup. I produce with a Macbook Pro Retina 13'' 2015 and Audio Technica M50x. I am purchasing monitors now, probably Mackie CR Series CR3 or M-Audio AV42. I do not record vocals or MIDI, my only production is through Logic Pro X as my DAW. I'm not sure if I will need an Audio Converter or DAC to successfully give me the cleanest sound I want. If yes, then which should I buy, Audio Converter or DAC? I have a strict budget range of $100-$150. Thanks in advance.
