I know this is a wikipedia link, but I was looking through the different edm subgenres listed here, and when you click on some of them, they explain the typical production style found in that subgenre, like bpm, which types of synths and basses are used, etc. Nothing super complex or in depth, but I found it to be a pretty helpful guide, so I thought I'd share it with you guys in case you could get some use out of it as well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_electronic_music_genres
