I'm hesitating between buying a digital piano (400ish€) or a classical guitar (150€ish). I am a non musician trying to learn an instrument.
I think i have a slightly better base at guitar, since i can already form some basic chords, and play simple songs. For the piano, it's close to zero.
People say piano is fundemental to learn music theory, how true is this? I watch alot of music youtubers and I also listen to alot of classical music and would love to one day be able to appreciate more of rachmaninoff, etc. But my music theory level is very low , or non existent.
I also have a passion for everything andalusian, including flamenco, and spanish guitars. I know a tiny bit of flamenco theory like the various Palos etc. But i know that the guitar repertoire in classical music is fairly limited. What do you think a complete beginner like me should get? Thank you all ^^
TL:DR I'm split between buying a digital piano and a classical guitar. Piano: harder to learn? Guitar: limited repertoire?
