So, I've always been fascinated about the idea of learning an instrument. The ones that always caught my attention were the wind instruments and the violin. And I really wished that I could learn one of them, but there are a few problems. The first one is that I'd have to learn by myself because I can't pay for classes at the moment. Buying the instrument would be okay I guess, but keeping a teacher isn't really affordable for me. The second problem is I have zero musical background. The schools where I live don't have music classes and I've never had the opportunity to learn music somewhere else either. I once tried learning the recorder a few years ago but I gave up after a while because I didn't like it. I also feel unmotivated because some friends talked about how pointless it is to learn this stuff when you're not a kid anymore, and said some things like "people who learn it as a grown up will never be as good". Even though I'm young (I'm just 18y lol), I started feeling a bit down and thought about leaving this idea behind.
Anyway, I wanted to know some recommendations and hints for my case because I have no idea what to do. I'm also open to hear instrument recommendations because I don't know what to pick yet and I wanted something accessible as well.
