Hello,
I'm 21 years old and I'm a beginner at piano. I have done some basic music theory at school and played some basic things on the piano. I believe I can read notes, although very slowly.
For quite some time I have been very fond of classical music, especially by Beethoven and Chopin, with Moonlight sonata and Fantasie Impromptu holding a very special place in my heart. I know that these pieces are only accessible after dedicated piano practice for like 8 to 10 years, and for very good reason!! That's why I would like to start my journey now so that maybe I could be able to play these in my 30s.
We all gotta start somewhere, so my question is, how do I start learning music PROPERLY. I am not interested in shortcuts, hacks, and videos titled "How to learn the piano 10 times faster" (How could you even claim that?!). Instead, I am asking about the correct academic way to learn music.
Thanks for your answers <3
