Hello everyone,
I am interested in creating resources that can help improve music education. To gauge interest and identify what kinds of resources would be most useful, I've created two questionnaires:
For Students (or anyone who wants to learn music): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdJZCR77TFHNB5p_gIsxbFJnb4V2Ya6g782iLdCDcYkbja51A/viewform?usp=sf_link
For Teachers: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScw-Or482YnFg3Dh5mM1Ksg7Koge7rwrdAhNxsN1Igmqb-S9A/viewform?usp=sf_link
I believe I have a unique background that puts me in a good position to improve music education. I have 25 years of experience playing music, lots of experience writing, recording, and mixing music, and I am a software developer. I have a Master's Degree in Music Technology from Georgia Tech. So, in addition to being able to write curriculum and create instructional videos, I also have the ability to develop new kinds of tools which can make for a more interactive learning environment.
I have lots of ideas about what I would like to make, but in the interest of not biasing the feedback, I won't give those ideas in this post. I'm more interested in listening to what other musicians and teachers think would be most useful for their learning.
I invite you to fill out one, or both, of the questionnaires, and please share this with anyone who you think could provide useful feedback!
Thank you very much for reading this,
Chris
