Hi all, and thanks in advance. I have zero education/background in music, but I am very interested in learning. Ultimately I'd like to be able to use a DAW to create. But whenever I try to learn some basic theory like scales, chord progession, etc it is a little overwhelming. There are just SO MANY resources out there and its difficult to even know where to start. I figured I'd purchase a relatively inexpensive midi keyboard and go from there. Was just hoping to help get some guidance on where to even begin or a resource/class to use. I've come across a few online courses I am interested in but its hard to determine if they will actually be worth the money and if I'm choosing the correct one. I unfortunately don't know anyone personally who is involved with music I can go to. Any recommendations on how or where I should go about starting would be much appreciated. If you have any questions for me that might help you better answer please let me know!
