I posted about this a couple weeks ago on this sub but I wanted to go a little further.
The advice I got was to keep playing and playing the same thing over and over.. which I have been but I was also wondering if there are any specific exercises to memorize something (the piano part) extremely well that you don’t even have to think while playing it. I do feel like when I practice a riff and talk to someone (my girlfriend or friend) simultaneously, it pushes the riff further back into the right side of my brain and I don’t have to think about it as much when I play it. Could this be true?
