I recently learned through research on this sub and a few others as well that a really good way to get really full sounding leads is to layer your synths. One method of doing this is to take your frequency bands and split them into different sections(bass, sub, his, etc.)then process them however you like with saturation, compression, etc. My question is, if i use all of those frequency ranges just for my lead, won't this cause muddiness later on when i try to make my actual bass? Should i not even bother with making a new bass when i layer this way? Will it be a problem to use another bass seeing as how one is already covering up the frequency range of another? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
