I've nearly finished a song I wrote in B major, and I'm encountering a problem with my sub. (I read recently that you should avoid B in EDM, but it's too late this one)
If I put the notes in a lower octave, it's so daggum low that it's nearly inaudible and too low for most speakers to reproduce well. If I bounce all the notes up an octave, it sounds awkwardly high, and more like an instrumental sound than a note that you're just supposed to "feel".
Any tips to help balance the sub? My mix is hurting in the low end because of it.
