for the entirety of my 8 years producing i’ve only used headphones, a pair of MDR V6s that have done me well and been through hell and just referenced and compared on a silly amount of different speakers. since they’re breaking, i️ was planning on snagging a pair of ATH M40x’s but saw there was a sale on LSR305s and i️ put myself in a tailspin since i’ve been wanting some monitors for a while but really never had the funds for them. i️ have a little harbinger mixer rn so i️ can hook them up well enough.
i️ got some options -
1) pass on the headphones for right now, get the LSR305s (i’ll be able to get a new pair of headphones in a month or two)
2) snag the ATH M40x’s, save up and buy a pair of high quality monitors next year
anyone use the JBL LSR305s? any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks fam
