I've been looking into achieving this soft sound on my kicks but I can't seem to figure out how. What I'm looking for is a kick that sounds a bit acoustic (but isn't!) without too much low & high end. I've been messing around with an EQ to cut out some frequencies on a big kick but then it still isn't what I'm looking for...

1) Complicated 0:05
2) Raging 1:07
Does anyone know how to process kicks to sound this way? Sorry if it's a stupid question & the answer is obvious, but I'm a bit lost on how to get it. Thanks in advance
