Hello! I’m James from Portland, OR! My friends and I started a non-profit label and event company a year ago called Metahuman Records. Our goal is to use music for good by educating the public and donating our profits from music sales and events to charities and organizations that directly support our communities.
Our new project is called myaudio.cloud. We love music and what we believe it’s best uses are; bringing people together and dancing out the bad while bringing in the new. We’re tired of most current music sharing platforms designed artists and their fans/listeners. Not to say that they don’t have music as their main function, just that we believe money is their purpose. Our’s is to find and share great tunes, use our platform and services to educate, while our profits support community-based programs that impact the places we live.
We also value online privacy and personal data. Data is not sold or accessible to 3rd parties and our databases are encrypted. We don’t run targeted ads, except for maybe putting up a link to a sale on a site we like. (Come on we all stack gear coupons. 100% “targeted” as we get).
There are two account tiers. Free and ‘PRO Donator’ that will have monthly and annual subscriptions. All profits are donated to quarterly rotating charities in the Portland Metro area. Free accounts have 5GB of storage and 100MB file upload limit while Pro has 20GB and 500MB respectively while allowing more location-based statistics. We are funded through 2020 (by some amazing charitable donors) with some ridiculously awesome hosting and plans to upgrade when our user base grows. We also have plans for a social network with mobile apps geared towards music producers, that’s still in testing.
We’re currently in beta with account signups! Every account in October will be given a free year of the Pro subscription! Check us out here:

I really think you’ll enjoy myaudio.cloud. I think we can all use our music for change, we just need a better platform that fits everyone’s needs a bit better. If anyone has ANY feedback or questions, feel free to hit me here or at jamesc@metahumanrecords.com
I know I speak for all of us (there’s 5 humans and 1 doge) when I say: “Thank you for your time and keep up the hard work on the amazing music, Reddit!”
