I know that MP3s are a lossy file format, similar to jpegs. Do each of the mp3s in a project get compressed with every save, regardless if the sample itself was edited in some way? Or is it only if I edit and then bounce the sample, in which only the bounced version experiences the compression? Would really appreciate if someone cared to explain how to avoid sample degradation
