Firstly i'll let me do a short intro This is my second time "trying" after i got discouraged the first time and everything i produced sound like well not good.I don't know the basics of music theory. I own a macbook. I have tried FL, reason, magix music maker and abelton found FL kinda easier beacuse of the GUI maybe. I love music production even though i quit its hard to get away, its like a smoker trying to quit smoking i keep coming back to it. Why i am here? i want advice.
-I want recommendation on which daw should i start and will be easy to begin keep in mind i didn't purchase either of those mentioned above, so at this stage should i just buy the full version.
-I am actually putting an effort this time around of going to music lessons but i don't know what to learn that will be helpful for the production ( music theory, keyboard, guitar or drums)
-Beginner resources online which are of good quality and easy to comprehend simple instructions like that. I always mess around on youtube i used to watch seamless and busy work beats. Sometimes it get complicated though.
-General advice on music production.
PS: i forgot to include some info, I just wanted to know instead learning production straight away should i just learn to DJ will it develop my knowledge on music mixing and stuff like that. I don't listen to that much music not even the levels of an average teen, maybe thats why i cant produce decent stuff i don't know. I think its kind of strange not listening to music but want to produce music but i am know starting to listen more music. Sorry if its long thanks for reading.
