Whenever I try to create a new song I am really happy with my work for the first hours. Whenever I listen to the song on another day, it annoys me and I got other ideas that I want to put into the song. This leads to the point that I never finish any work because I mess up the whole song instead of working out what I already got..
It usually happens that I don't like the main "feeling" or atmosphere anymore after I come back. I add instruments and constantly change my chordprogression and stuff like that but I feel like I make it worse and worse instead of just stick to the main idea. In the end I deleted 70% of the whole song.
I'm also a perfectionist when it comes to stuff like this so I rather don't release anything instead of accept that my tracks wont be perfect. It's driving me insane and frustrates the hell out of me. I told my accountability partner that I will finish this track in March but I said this so many times, yet I can't finish anything.
What can I do? Whenever I listen to the track it's like it doesn't fit at all , I only like the build-up and the drop :(
