Why do I see some sound designers working with 1/2 oscillators work with it/them both tunes up/down an octave or what not? I understand If you are working with multiple osc, that having one pitched differently most certainly creates a difference - but I hear no difference when I am using 2 oscillators, tune them both an octave down and play a note, then tune them back to standard (+0) and then play 1 octave lower than before. They sound identical - yet I see multiple patches using 2+ osc. and all of them tuned up or down an octave - doesn't make sense - why not just play in that octave if they are all tuned the same?
