I've been wanting to learn this song on drums for a while, and even though I can "think" the drums by heart, like I understand 99% of the drum track just by listening to it, I can't figure out the time signature.
I threw this song into a tracker, adjusted the BPM to ~170 and placed a click on each first beat (in time with the kick). The first few measures I think go:
7/8 + 7/8 + 9/8 + 7/8
I guess what I'm asking is, can I compound this into an overall time signature or would I be changing the time signature when needed if I was writing out the sheet music?
