I have been working through Alfred's piano course, and just recently got Laitz's The Complete Musician to help build my understanding of music.
By literature, I mean that I'm more looking for helpful, or even just insightful, books that focus on the aspect of learning/self-teaching itself.
I've looked at:
Fundamentals of Piano Practice by Chuan C Chang (I've heard mixed reviews on this one)
The Art of Piano Playing by Heinrich Neuhaus
The Inner Game of Music by Barry Green
I'd love more recommendations along these lines. I'm primarily interested in learning to play classical piano pieces from sheet music (Chopin, Schumann, Brahms etc.)
Thanks!
