Hey all. Music has always been something that I've wanted so badly to be able to play (obviously not badly enough i suppose), yet it has always seemed so far from obtainable.
I've tried my hand a couple times as a kid, but hated learning & practicing because I seemed to struggle so much in comparison to my peers. I'm now 30, and though I still seem to have a serious disconnect with my hearing and manual dexterity, I really want to give it a serious try.
However.. I do feel like I should learn about music first before learning how to use a tool to create music. I don't know how to read it, how to hear it, what notes are or what they should and should not sound like. Does anyone have any idea where a good starting point might be?
