Hi, all!
I searched through the subreddit, but, either because of my ineptitude or Reddit's awful search function, I could not find anything about learning music while missing fingers!
I am missing the pointer and pinky fingers on my left hand. I have no background in music. I love the piano and most stringed instruments, and I would like to learn to play something as a hobby when I return to school in the next few weeks.
I guess my questions are these:
1) Is it possible for someone without a pinky to play piano? I gather that the pinky and thumb on the left hand are particularly important
2) How would I start learning?
3) If I have to adapt, what would it mean to be "right" in my adaptation?
This all might be a lot to answer here in on comment. I'm happy to talk in my DMs if you have time.
Cheers!
