turning a chord sample into a single tone that can be played on the piano roll

I've got a one shot sample that i really like, and that i want to use. But the sample is a chord, not a single note. So if i play that on the piano roll, no matter how i play it it just sounds wrong. Is there a way to pitch correct a sample like that to where it is only one tone and be able to play in on a piano roll?
