Right now I have an Octatrack along with a Minilogue and Moog. I’ve been using this setup to jam out ideas and now that it’s time to record and finalize arrangements I’m trying to figure out the best way to do that. The way I see it I can either do all of that live (the Octatrack is sequencing the synths, so certainly doable) or I can dump the tracks in to Ableton and subsequently arrange with my Push.
Doing things live would give me a chance to change parameters on the fly, though Ableton of course gives me a whole set of tools and I can change the arrangement around whenever I want instead of being married to a performance. Interested in perspectives on this.
