Hi guys, Sorry about the long post. So I have always been interested in making music with so many melodies floating around in my head. :). But I have never had any formal music education. I can play some basic chords in a guitar, but still very much in square one and I cannot play any other instrument. This year I wanted to stop wasting my time watching tv and playing games and learn about music creation and production. I downloaded the trial version of Ableton and have been playing around for a week now. I have been watching youtube videos and learning. But, I feel like I am not making a lot of progress. I feel like I need to learn a lot of music theory to even start thinking about creating music. It's probably also because I dont really know where to start with tutorials. So, as a super beginner to music, where do I need to start? and what is the learning path? I am ready to commit, put in the time and learn. But I am not sure where to start. Also, do I need to learn to play keyboard before I even start with Ableton? Thanks so much guys.
