Disclaimer: I am a novice producer so I apologize if my question seems naive but I couldn't find a definitive answer online.
I use Ableton as my DAW. I want to boost the bass on an existing audio track. I'm preferably looking to beef up the 808s not really the lower vocal range/instruments. I was wondering what the advantages or disadvantages of using a simple EQ vs Multiband-Dynamics vs Saturator. Is there a method I should pick as my "go-to", to prevent muddying up audio in my tracks? Is there a plugin that people use for this situation? Or does it really vary from track to track? Thanks!
