Whenever I listen to a professionally-produced track, I can't help but notice how much "cleaner" and "brighter" they sound compared to mine. Much like seeing a professionally-taken photograph versus what I could capture with my phone. Except with EDM production I have plenty of high-end software to do what they do.
I still thought this was only a matter of good mixing, like balancing high-ends properly, since the "crisper, brighter" sounds seem to happen in higher frequencies. But I never can mix this the way I envision it to finally sound.
Any tips on getting that cleaner, brighter sound overall? I'm sick of the fact that my tracks end up muddy being the reason I abandon so many of them, halfway finished.
Any and all help and support is appreciated!
