Is there a way to place a one shot that is loose in a drum rack and having the midi trigger the actual downbeat while maintaining the 'looseness' after recording? It is tedious having to manually place the audio where the actual hit is. Thanks!!
edit: a slightly better explanation: Let's say i have a loose clap sample, the 'hit' which is supposed to be on a back beat (2 or 4) does not happen at the beginning of the sample. I guess the correct term would be that the note is flammed with the grace note(s) happening before the backbeat hit. I am wondering if there is a way to have midi trigger the downbeat part of the sample during recording. When you play it back, the flam is magically in the right place.
