how loud is too loud for mastering these days? Like, i know most streaming stuff that isn't soundcloud is at like -14 lufs, but does that work on the dancefloor (i guess that's kinda dependent on the context of the song, but still)?
this new one im working on, i can push the master all the way to like.. -6 LUFS without distortion on anything. which seems really loud. maybe my ears are tired and i can't hear it well enough to pick up the distortion?
is there any point to mastering anything this loud anymore?
