My daughter has been taking piano for a few months, and the teacher is sending home sight reading homework. It's agony. My daughter does well enough at playing through songs once she's heard them a few times, but she can't seem to get the relationship between the notes on the sheet and letters of the alphabet. Neither her mother nor I can play a musical instrument, so we aren't really sure how to go about making this fun or at least not so stressful for our kiddo (and us). Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
