I like to drag and drop my kick and snare directly into the project(I don't use drum rack). I randomly went to the fades and saw my kick/snare transient was being automatically faded out. Options>Preferences>Record/Warp/Launch>Warps/Fades>Create Fades on Clip Edges>Off
