I am working on compleeting my first EP by end of year. As of now I feel pretty acomplished and ready to put this out, however I am running into an issue where If I'm listening to this on my studio headphones, or in the car, it sounds just fine, however as soon as I switch to earbuds, or analog speakers, a lot of the intricacies, frequencies, and subtle cues Ive added to my music, seem to get buried.
Now I am trying to figure out if I need to mix differently to compensate for vast amount of listening methods that others will use. Is this a futile effort? Should I care about spending hours getting my sound just right, only to have it not show up if someone tends to listen with cheap buds?
