I am what many have called "double jointed", where I can basically extend my fingers beyond where they are supposed to stop for most; I can bend my thumb backward about 90 degrees, the fingers aren't nearly as drastic but very noticeable (I'd say about 45 degrees).
I am learning to play piano and hope to get lessons soon but I am not sure if I will be getting some or not.
When I press on a key my finger has a habit of not wanting to stay curved (holding an orange I believe is a mental cue?). It want to straighten but goes beyond and extends too much at the last knuckle furthest from the palm if that makes sense. I don't know how to fix this or if it's even a problem I should be concerned with. Thanks!
