so i made a post a few days ago asking for some info about the maschine and after doing some more research i've narrowed my search to the maschine mk3 and the akai mpc touch which are both around the same price.
seeing as they are around the same price and the two operate very similarly (both use their own software that can be used as a plug in inside a given DAW and export midi/audio into the arrangement), what separates the two? why would you choose one over the other?
one of the major advantages of these two is that they can be used in any DAW the same way, unlike the Push 2 which loses almost all its functionality when used in a DAW that isnt ableton. i've never really used a groove box like this before except for the push so any info, even if it seems stupid would be useful :P
