Hi guys, I was spending some time analyzing one of my favourite tracks by Tchami called SIAW and noticed something interesting. I’ve heard over and over again that you should always make your kick and sub fully mono but when I put an ozone 8 imager on the Tchami track and solo’d the low end I found out it wasn’t in true mono, there wasn’t much stereo separation but there still was some and his mix is really clean in that song I find. I will be analyzing a few more of his tracks to see if it’s a common occurrence but just wondering what your guys’ thoughts are on always making your kick and sub full mono (nothing but a straight line on ozone imager).
