Maybe it will sound obvious as hell, but here we go. I designed a synth bass and used Izotope's imager for stereo widening. None of the oscillators are panned. I don't use any effects apart from the imager.
Now, If I play with that synth, I see in my loudness meter in Logic and spectrogram that some notes result in more dbs in the left channel and some notes produce more dbs in the right channel. Is this normal? That sound is not panning. It's static.
