Real quick one guys because I can't wrap my head around this.
I've came across the strategy that a lot of producers use which is to get support from a successful DJ/producer on soundcloud and then using that momentum to get their track signed to a record label.
I'm a little confused because I thought that record labels are never interested in tracks that are already released on your profile as they want exclusivity in most cases to the song. But in order to get support from a big DJ/producer wouldn't your track have to be public so that they can repost/share it with their fans? I feel like you would have to go with one or the other or am I missing something here.
In fact if you were to get supported by say Don Diablo what does that actually mean? Is it just a re-post on a popular page or something more? I don't know what I know anymore haha!
Please help,
