Alright, so I'm pretty set on the Steinberg ur22 MKII, it's at an alright price and seems to have what I need, however I have a few questions that I can't find the answers to anywhere else.
DAW: FL Studio 12.5 Headphones: Audio-Technica ath m50x
I've heard that some audio interfaces can reduce latency for audio processing. Will the ur22 MKII do this? One of the reasons I sought after an audio interface in the first place is because of my cpu usage shooting up from 7 to around 80 while playing a 7 or 8 note chord using a 18 voice harmor super saw (looking at the cpu usage bar at the top, and I managed to drop the cpu from 80 to 40 by dropping the unison and using chorus).
I'm also hoping that I can plug in the keyboard I'm getting soon using the MIDI input, but I'm sure that'll be no problem.
So, basically, my questions are:
Will the Steinberg ur22 MKII reduce latency on a laptop using FL 12.5, and will it even work with that DAW? Will it boost audio quality for my headphones? For basic electronic music production, and hopefully sound design in the future, will this help me at all? Are there any other better budget friendly options that would be good for what I'm doing?
Hopefully I've explained everything well enough.
