Not even really sure what to write here, but like, anyone have any tips, or just basic advice on not feeling discouragement? Like, is it normal with music production?
I've literally just started making music like 3 months ago, so i'm about as fresh as fresh gets. And regardless of how well I've seen myself improve, I go and listen to professionals, such as skrux, seven lions, Rameses B, ect (who I take a lot of inspiration from, among others) and just feel immediately discouraged with my own work, and makes me not even want to work on my own stuff.
I just released my own first "finished" project on soundcloud, just for the purpose of family and friends to listen to. And you know, you never get the responses you expect. You spend weeks in front of your DAW, working on your art, with every ounce of motivation and dedication you have, for a simple "oh, that's cool!" -then immediately changes the subject to something else- type of reply.
I guess I just expect to much of a reaction? Idk, just felt down lately, and was wondering if anyone can relate to this, back when they started.
