I've been dabbling with FL studio for some time now but when it comes to making a track sound full it can fall flat. I try to layer to the best of my ability but sometimes the sound I'm getting isn't the sound I'm trying to create.
So I usually make a patch in Massive and make that into what I think has a full sound. I do that for a few patches then layer them together to try and create unique chords, melodies, ect. But in the end I feel like something is off.
I try to find some cool sounding presets in Massive but none of them are really what I'm looking for. Should I look for more presets online or just keep messing around making my own?
Also I have looked a little into some Black Octopus sound packs but they're super expensive but have a ton of amazing sounds so I'm not sure if I should just try and replicate their patches. I'm starting to feel like I'm about to start using a ton of presets and I'm not sure if I do I'll start to forget how they all work.
