I've been buying up plugins for a while now whilst learning the tools of the edmproduction trade, but I mostly have synths (Diva and FM8 from the ones that are relevant to the topic at hand) and effects (Soundtoys, D16, Valhalla) as of right now. Aside from a mastering suite, I was thinking of investing in a large "sample-based" synth plugin, but I struggle to decide which one I should choose in the end.
I'm not limited to one particular genre, but the "live" instrumentation I'm looking for in particular right now should be suitable to Nu Disco (strings, horns, pianos etc.) similar to Blende or Bazz. I was wondering which libraries would be more suitable for this type of music - Spectrasonics Omnisphere or NI's Kontakt Libraries?
Personally, I gravitate more towards Omnisphere, because it seems like an one-size-fits-all package, but the Strings demo from Kontakt sounded very appealing as well.
I would like to figure this out without having to illegally try out both, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
