I completely lost inspiration and just gave up music this year. Until tonight. I stayed up all night and made a remix from start to finish doing NOTHING else but working in my DAW. I just completely lost track of time and everything. I had some sort of hyper focus.
Usually I spend weeks on a track, ruining mixes by overdoing everything and polishing turds, and then there is all the marketing bullshit when "releasing" a track online... This is what made me hate it.
I don't want to be a professional musician anymore. I just want to make some music, damn it. Like a normal person would casually make a painting on a sunday evening or something.
