Hey friends,
I've been learning bass for about 6 months now. I practice almost every day, and I think I'm getting pretty good. One thing I really want to improve on is playing with other people in a band, partly because I want to get better at locking-in with a drummer, and partly because I like performing.
My issue is that I go to a fairly small college, and I'm not really connected to the music scene on campus. All of the bands are lead by music students, and comprised of music students, so I don't really have an in.
There aren't even that many other bassists on campus. But everyone knows who they are, so if you need a bassist you go straight to them.
How can I find a band(s) to play with?
