I look around and I can't really find anything that goes in depth on this topic.
I find people that teach sound design, like Rocket Powered Sound, but nobody who really goes in depth as to how to structure a Riddim/Dubstep drop. I'm not looking for sound design tutorials.
I listen to tracks by Monxx, for example, and I hear a variety of sounds just in one drop. And I'm trying to understand "ok, is he modulating the wavetable position, or is he drawing in a new note on the midi, is he modulating the rate of the LFO, is he using more than one bass in his drop, etc. etc. What is he doing?"
Mind you, I'm not here to copy Monxx. I'm here to understand the basic structure that goes into a Riddim/Dubstep drop. Learning the basics and the fundamentals. Understand why he does what he does so that I can be like "Ok I get it" and then go about creating my own.
