I am looking to piece together a live performance that is a combination of multiple Ableton sets and multiple externally-played songs in .wav format
Reason being, I have a bunch of individual ableton sets that require multiple tracks for each song (so I have to load a separate set for each song in ableton). The problem is it takes so long to load up a new ableton set between songs. I would like to play through a single ableton set, then at the end of that set mix in an external song/.wav file from a separate source so that the there is no break in the music. Once the .wav file is playing and ableton is mixed out, I can load the next set in ableton to be mixed in once the .wav file is finished.
Is there any easy and/or free/low cost solution for this? Do I need something like Traktor (which is on sale for a few more days?)
